Friends of FWHS is a registered charity run by parent and carer volunteers. Our aim is to host a full calendar of memorable activities each year to bring parents, students, teachers, carers and the community together in support of our school.
The money Friends raise is used to supplement the annual budget. Recently this has focussed on supporting the school curriculum by contributing towards the cost of special visitors and and activities in school. Friends also cover the cost of buses for school field trips and incidental expenses that would otherwise be passed on to parents and carers each year.
You can see the results of our recent fundraising efforts in the school playground. The Brig Play Boat is providing endless opportunities for outdoor play and the children are exercising more using the gym and table tennis equipment.
