The Founding Vision of The Federation of Widford and Hunsdon JMI Schools

The foundation of The Federation of Widford and Hunsdon JMI Schools was laid with a clear vision for nurturing not only academic excellence but also the development of character. The governing body, from its very beginning, sought to create an environment where values of respect, integrity, and kindness would thrive. While times have changed, our commitment to these founding principles remains steadfast, and we continue to provide an education that cultivates both the mind and the character of our students.

As the world evolves, the need for education that shapes resilient, adaptable, and compassionate individuals has never been more vital. In our federation we believe in fostering these qualities, just as our founders once envisioned. We aim to equip our pupils with the tools to build positive relationships, demonstrate kindness, and embrace curiosity and creativity. In line with this, the governing body remains committed to ensuring that these values are upheld, so that our students grow into well-rounded individuals who are ready to face the challenges of the modern world.

At the heart of our federation is our dedicated Head Teacher, Mr. Jonathan Millward. With a passion for education and a commitment to nurturing both the academic and personal growth of each child, Mr. Millward leads the school with vision, care, and expertise. He believes in creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

Mr. Millward’s leadership is centred on fostering a strong sense of community within the school, while maintaining high standards of education. His approach combines innovative teaching methods with traditional values, ensuring that The Federation of Widford and Hunsdon JMI Schools continues to provide an enriching educational experience. Under his guidance, the school remains dedicated to developing well-rounded, confident individuals who are prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow.
